Some notable facts
Sep. 22nd, 2007 12:49 amJames' 'Inventory'
Wand: almond, 9 3/4 inches with a unicorn hair.
Broomstick: Spryer 300X ; good for professional Quidditch, quite possibly faster than the Firebolt, relatively expensive
Gifts from people: a small dagger with accompanying scabbard with an embossed lion, a simple weapon but very meaningful to James; from Will for Christmas
- one half of a broken arrow to act as his tie to Milliways - this way he can find his way back; Will has the other half
- also a bag of Jelly Belly jelly-beans from his young!mum, Ginny
- a gold and red ruby dragon: "When touched on the head the owner wills it to wake or to sleep, doing as is told. It can dance, carry items from person to person, or even guard something precious." from Inari for Christmas. It currently sits atop the night table in his and Teddy's room (his dad's old room) in Milliways where it is admired on a near daily basis.
- a collection of pictures from his mum and dad - left for him in a secret place in the school
Other Facts of Interest
Birthdate: James' birthday isn't specified in canon (well, hardly anything is but we'll ignore that bit), I've decided to make it November 28th, making him a Sagittarius.
Position on the Gryffindor Quidditch Team: Unintentionally but fittingly, he follows in his grandfather James' footsteps as one of the Chasers. He's pretty brilliantly good at it, too.
The Possible Future: When James is out of Hogwarts, there are two most notable professions he's looking into. Like his dad, he is interested in becoming an Auror - it's sort of the job that his family would also like for him to do. Conversely, he has always had an intense interest/love/fondness for Quidditch and might possibly want to play professionally.
Popularity: It does not really need to be said, but, like his grandfather, James has a close-knit group of friends (an Edward being mentioned, among a few others) and is generally seen by the rest of his year as one of the Cool Kids. People tend to like him the way that most people liked the Weasley twins (his uncles). James differs from his namesake in that he isn't much of a bully. While James Potter I picked on Severus Snape for reasons unknown (or irrational reasons), James II is more like his father in that he'd only bully someone in the name of justice. He does enjoy playing pranks on unsuspecting people, though - but that bit is all in good fun.
