Sometimes James thinks he can't wait to be done with all of the responsibilities of being a student.

But then, particularly nowadays, he finds himself wondering what the future will bring for him after he graduates from Hogwarts.

He's only got the rest of this year to go (and that's only a handful of months) before it's all done and he must find his way around the grown up Wizarding World.

(It's admittedly a bit of a scary thought.)

But ... it's a stupid thing to be mulling over such depressing notions, considering he's got the weekend to be free and responsibility-free at Hogsmeade.

And who better to be irresponsible with than a friend from another universe entirely?

The way back to his world isn't full of fanfare or anything like that.

It's just one door opening from one end of the universe to the other.

And just like that, they are welcomed into a slightly messy (okay, very messy), vaguely boy-smelling space with several corners, each occupied by a bed, a set of trunks and clothes strewn about.

It is quiet and empty - everyone must be in class.

James' side looks identical to the others - only his side of the room's got a bunch of Quidditch gear left haphazardly atop his apple-pied bed. To the bed's left is a wooden night table with a bunch of miscellaneous items, including a slightly worn out looking origami figure and a dagger properly protected in its sheath.
